Pottery Tour

Departure at 0900 hours. The delta region outside Yangon is the town of Twantay where the "Oh-Bo pottery" is located. It is only 15 miles away from Yangon. Twantay village has very much retained its original character. The road is extremely bumpy and you should be prepared for an uncomfortable yet very interesting ride, which provides a glimpse of life on and along the famous Twantay Canal. Lunch at Local Restaurant after a visit to Shwesandaw Pagoda. And then to the pottery area where a large part of the population in Twantay is engaged in production pottery. The importance is Twantay is pottery works. Clay from Twante is the best to make pottery , you'll visit to home industries of water pots, flower pots, burners and kilns. Walking through the many workshops where locals are busy molding pots, we will be able to observe this very traditional craft. Return to Yangon and to hotel at around 1700 hours.
